Switching back to Yahoo Mail Classic

I was just cleaning up my ages ago abandoned Yahoo mailbox, and I realized that I quite hate the new interface, thankfully Yahoo lets you turn it off, and reverse the shift, and there you go back to the old good Y! Mail.

You see the highlighted options menu there? Yes go there and click on the tiny bottom facing arrow, and allow it to load, and you’d see a slide menu like in this picture.

You now know what to do next, and if you don’t just click on the text “Switch to Yahoo Mail Classic”. You can also change the color by pointing the cursor to Colors and from there on.

Changing Yahoo Messenger 9 Skin

Here is a walk through on how to change the skin color in Yahoo Messenger 9 Beta.

First of all open your spanky new Yahoo messenger 9 beta.

Now do you see a small circle just before the minimize button? You don’t?

Now you do? Great

Just click it, and you see a small popup, like this one, here…

Now, this is the skins popup, just pick your color, mate.

Ahem ahem, anybody said msn?

True, but right now you don’t get custom colors :(

Yahoo Messenger 9 Beta Full Download

Yahoo! has released it’s latest beta, the version 9 in the series. Yahoo Messenger Vista, as was being expected isn’t this, this is just the regular messenger, with some clutter cleaning done, this surely looks neat.

I’m sure you’d like this version as this supports integration to yahoo’s new photos site flickr.com, and much more. It has some new skins, some new set of emoticons. You can watch the video preview by clicking here.

This is some great news now, Yahoo Mail! have finally added the feature to send messages to your contacts on their mobile phones. This feature would be included in the new Yahoo Mail! that the 250 million Yahoo mail users await.

As of now it’s been said to allow messages only to users in US, Canada, India and Philippines.

Yahoo mail client gets IM

Yahoo following the Google footsteps has added IM
functionality to its webmail client. Google added the similar functionality to
Gmail exactly a year ago, in February.
Yahoo would slowly unveil the feature to all the users in the
coming months. It would work similar to Google Talk?s layer in Gmail.

This implementation would save users from a 20mb download of
Yahoo’s messenger when using someone else’s computer.Microsoft hasn’t joined the IM over webmail
bandwagon yet though.

Free Yahoo Messenger Calling

Now Yahoo Messenger has come up with free voice
calling feature. Now you can call to toll free numbers of United States
which start with the area code 800, 877, 888 and 866 using new advanced
free voice calling feature of Yahoo Messenger. This feature has been
added by the company to support ?click to call? advertising campaign.
This service is starting in United States from 2nd February onwards.
If you have never used Yahoo Messenger?s Phone Out
service for calling to a land line phone, this new advanced free voice
calling feature for calling to toll free numbers is going to be a great
experience. There is a new upgrade for v(8.1.0.239), this will enchance
the voice quality and some improvements in ?sign-up? are also there.
This will also help in fixing minor bugs with the help of new windows
Vista operating system.
